Born in Enugu (the coal city) state of Nigeria in the early eighties, Shakar grew up listening to different kinds of music which helped to build him into a versatile artist.

At the age of 8, Shakar started performing in a regular TV series tagged Children Variety Show on a local TV station (ETV). During his high school days, he performed and organised different events up till his time in the University Of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.

Shakar decided to hit the studio for the first tim ever dropping his first single tagged ‘Orishirishi Swagga’ which was produced by Mr Skillz (JJC).
