Kode is another act from Bariga (the same town that brought us 9ice, ID Cabasa and Dj Zeez). This is a good debut single, it has a slow feel to it (think ‘Kinda Life’ by 9ice), but the lyrics will make you attentive if you understand Yoruba. Da Grin delivers as usual.

On a side note, it appears that artistes from Bariga are exceptionally good at singing good and catchy hooks in Yoruba. The video of ‘Where Dem Dey’ by Kode Ft. Da Grin will be out by the end of this month.

Her creative prowess has now extended far beyond the norms of Hip-Hop, R&B, or AfroPop, but to now include ELECTRO! The song itself is robotically sexy and flirtatious!
