B-elect along with his crew Thorobreds won two awards, the AMEN Awards 2006 and Best Rap Video at the HipHop World Awards 2006

B-elect writes for various HipHop magazines and spoken at various HipHop forums. His 2 new songs ‘Bangings’ & ‘File’ are currently storming dance halls and media outlets.

He had a brief stint with the Thorobreds under Storm label and performed at several gigs. B-elect just released a new single which he calls ‘Bring Back’.

With his album dropping in November, B-Elect has 21 tracks featuring the likes of IllBliss, Ruffman, Zdon Paporella, Obiwon, MTrill, P will, J Martins and Nigga Raw Production by Buttah, Micwrks, B-Elect, M.D.flow under his Label ‘Blightz Recordz’.

B goes the extra mile to rip on beats that some MCs dare not jump on with a style reminiscent of vintage Hiphop styles like The Roots, Tribe Called Quest, Common, Nas and amongst others.

Bright Andrew Igho a.k.a B-Elect is a member of Nigeria’s foremost rap crew, Thorobreds. Founder of the crew along with IllBliss, B-Elect has been involved in hip hop since days as a kid in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

B-Elect in some ways has been involved in every aspect of the game as an interest and scholar and undoubtedly one of the most versed individuals in Nigeria when it comes to rap and it’s culture. His favourite rappers are Rakim, Nas, Common, Black thought.
