    • ]]>     Kode is another act from Bariga (the same town that brought us 9ice, ID Cabasa and Dj Zeez). This is a good debut single, it has a slow feel to it (think ‘Kinda Life’ by 9ice), but the lyrics will make you attentive if you understand Yoruba. Da Grin delivers as usual.

    On a side note, it appears that artistes from Bariga are exceptionally good at singing good and catchy hooks in Yoruba. The video of ‘Where Dem Dey’ by Kode Ft. Da Grin will be out by the end of this month.

    YQ has been nominated for the Best New Act of the year & the Hottest Single of the year at the 2009 Nigerian Entertainment Awards coming up in DC, USA. He was also nominated at the forthcoming HipHop World Awards for the Next Rated, Best Collabo & Best Street Hop.
