In September 2009 to be precise, General Pype became an official Storm Soldier and was welcomed to the label, this was done in a deal with Podyum Vybes and now the results are beginning to emerge.Pype was first heard on the club banger Strong Thing on Sasha’s Album, First Lady and he recently shot his first video for the first video from his impending album on legendary Nigerian Record Label, Storm Records.

General Pype, Real name Majekodunmi Olayiwola Ibrahim’s album will be dropping early next year. Pype has been busy performing at shows, like the Guinness 250 anniversary with Sean Paul and loads of other shows.

Born Sylvester Ekot in Lagos Nigeria on 1978. Growing up with an obsession for poetry from the early 80’s fueled his likeness for rap music. Having followed the footsteps of legends like Grandmaster Flash, Kool Wee Dee, Whoodiri and Erick B & Rakim on thru late 80’s and into the 90’s with the new school Hip-Hop.

Alabai began to pen down his lyrics from the age of 10.In the 90’s the obsession grew beyond imagination as he formed his own rap band in 1995. The band was named Def – O – Clan.

Alabai is curently releasing his new dance single which is called ‘Matche Dem’ Ft. Azadus, General Pype & Mallam Spicy and a video is following soon
