As the year begins, Knighthouse Entertainment, the music arm of Knighthouse Creative is set to take the game up another notch with the introduction of a compilation album titled ‘Street Scriptures Volume 1’, which is the first installment in a series of albums to celebrate the fast blossoming music industry in Nigeria.

The Knighthouse Street Scriptures project is a series of compilation albums that celebrates the best of Nigerian music with song collaborations featuring the best of the rising stars and the best of the music underground. Each album will focus on a particular music genre, and Vol. 1 in the series celebrates Nigerian hip-hop culture and is set to revolutionize the ‘game’ by bringing together the best ‘hip hoppers’ in this part of the world, from the household names like Mode9, Sauce Kid and MI to the underground greats like Teeto and Str8 Buttah in a fresh way. The album is a blend of musical flavors and styles that can be fused into the ever versatile hip-hop genre. The album will have 16 Tracks which will range in musical style from funk to rock and even grime.

The first singles off the album were recently released online and on local radio stations. These singles include the smash dance hit ‘Purple’ featuring M.I, Nyore and Mo’Cheddah; the heavy hitting ‘Hate’ featuring ill Bliss, Othello and Aye’sha; and most recently ‘The Finest’ featuring Saucekid, Mo’Cheddah and Teeto. These songs are currently enjoying very good airplay and impressive reviews both on the local and international scene.

Also available are videos for the new singles Purple and The Finest and also notably for the song Capital Drama which finds Clarence Peters performing in front of the camera for the first time ever.

The duo emerged into the music scene in Nigeria, In the late 90’s, representing one of the pioneers of Afro Hip Hop in Nigeria, with unique performances that is classified by originality and creativity as the name connotes, having the uttermost interest to exploit creative innovation

Artquake is made up of (ADX) Adegbite Adeniran and (ICE-K) Tomomewo Olakunle hailing from Kwara State and Ondo State, South Western part of Nigeria respectively.

Artquake took a break from the norm which is Afro hip hop a brand which has afforded the Duo to do more of danceable songs with pure blend of Afrocentic flavor and infusion of culture treats.

Artquake have to their credit five(5) albums in nine(9) years releasing their first album in year 2000.

Artquake just clocked 10 years in the Nigerian music industry and would be celebrating it with a dual album launch – The launch of The German German Gyration Album and Artwork/Alanta.

From the first to their latest effort, Artquake has produced hits like Abule Lawa, Shamagbadun, Any Color, konko Jabele, Gaepe, U Must Dance, Chop My Money, Bus Stop, 2day na 2day,Alanta & Ona Ekiti amongst others.

Olusegun Emmanuel Olowokere was born and raised in Bronx, New York. Also known as Iceberg Slim, Segun’s foray into music showed earlier in life when he played drums and piano in church.

That Iceberg Slim was nominated for the Best International Artist for this year’s Nigerian Entertainment Awards shows how balanced and determined iceberg slim is, to make his mark in the Nigerian Entertainment industry.

Iceberg Slim has performed on stage with some of naijas blessed and talented artists like 9ice, ElDee, Blak Jesus, 2Face etc.

Apart from being an artist, Iceberg Slim is also a performer and a producer who has produced tracks for many rising stars and coming attractions some of which are Ezzie, Rico White, AG Man, Bayou and NL3.

In 2005, Iceberg Slim decided to have his own record label and that idea gave birth to AfriGang Ent.

Rich Marvin Chieme Akuba popularly known as Morachi Hapuya hails from Umuezukwe Awo. Omamma, Imo State. Morachi shot to the limelight with his ‘Hapuya Lyk Dat’ video which was an MTV number 1 top hit for months and topped music charts across major media outlets including BET, MTVBase Africa and SoundCity.

Morachi is currently working on his new album titled ‘Mezebility’ which should shake the music industry and some of the songs that has been released from the forthcoming album has been instant hits. Morachi Hapuya ‘the mezebu master’ is a recording and performing artist under his personal record label, Mo-Inc Records.

LIL BIO

Keeno was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 1986. He started singing at the tender age of 9 in his church choir & has not looked back since. In his journey of artistic discovery, he formed a group in his teenage years singing gospel music.

In September 2007, Keeno’s song writing skills & his lyrical delivery abilities combined with the contents of his songs caught the ears of A & Rs of Ekobeats Records (A UK Based Record Label). He was then promptly interviewed & signed a recording contract with the label. Following the agreement, work commenced in January 2008 on Keeno’s Album (THE REBIRTH). In June 2008 the video of Keeno’s hit single “My Mama” was released.
